Research Interests

Systems Biology, Synthetic Biology, Noise in gene expression, Gene Dosage Effect.

I am interested in applying synthetic biology and systems biology approaches to answer interesting biological questions. Using a combination of mathematical modeling and experiments, I studied gene regulatory networks that underlie the mammalian cell cycle during my Ph.D. Using a similar approach, I have also analyzed host-pathogen interactions between bacteria and mammalian cells.

Currently, I am interested in two lines of work: 1) cell-fate prediction and 2) gene dosage effect on gene expression. In the Weitz group, I will develop theoretical foundation on these works, and I will test these theories in the Kim lab.
