I'm interested in understanding the evolution of plant form and function with particular attention to trait covariation across species and communities. To date my work has focused primarily on; i) linking theoretical models of plant form and function to empirical allometries, ii) trait variation within and across plant communities, and iii) quantifying the structure and function of leaf vascular networks. I'm currently a postdoc in the laboratory of Dr Joshua Weitz at the Georgia Institute of Technology (ecotheory.biology.gatech.edu). Here we are investigating how leaf vascular network structure is linked to whole leaf form and function.
